A mechanic from the Burdekin, building a place where locals, new locals, and visitors passing through can find local deals and specials — and where local small businesses get found.
I've spent my working life under bonnets and underneath utes, fixing things for people across the Burdekin. As a tradie, I saw first-hand how hard it is for small businesses to get noticed.
The sparkies going out on their own for the first time. The car detailers, the fruit stalls, the people with hire equipment that not many people know about. The coffee shops in the Main Street that shut down because word of mouth wasn't enough, and the nutrition smoothie shops that shut down because it was hard to get noticed against the big guys with big ad budgets.
So I built Your Local Marketplace — a simple, local-first app where trades, services, and small businesses in our region can finally be discovered by the people right next door.
